I don't know what the heck I am doing. I figured that I would get onto my wifes blog and write a few comments. First of all she has know Idea that I am on this. She will be very surprised when she looks at this.
I am watching the kids. Jennifer is asleep and spencer is finishing off a can of Mountain Dew, a can his mom left out. Thats my kid. Did I mention he is only three and a half years old. needless to say no sleep for him. Yes I let my kids drink alittle bit of caffiene, for the daughter wear tank tops, they know how to say a few swear words. These kids are like sponge's. They pick up anything that you say. I did not teach them the words on purpose they just heard me when I was working on a few things around the house and things went wrong. It is bad when your in church and your kid says the D word three times because he dropped his toy. Once he did this his mom looked right at me, we all know that look you get. I just tried to ignore the glair but I knew what it was for.
Now I sound like a horrible parent to a few of you that are against caffiene and tank tops. Oh and the swear words. Hey how many of you have stubbed your toe on that stupid toy that you did not see and said something memorable. I bet if you did not say it you thought it in your mind. I am not the person that is able to hold these things in. Mabe alittle training might be needed. My kids know that I do not hold back when I stub my toe on that stupid toy. They also know that if they do not get out of the way that toy will end up at the other end of the house in a matter of seconds. My daughter looks so good in that little tan. She is so precious. She is only two and we dress her in the things that might not be that modest for the young woman of today. I say right now she does not know what modesty is, and to show alittle arm on a two year old is ok. Know I am the parent that if the daughter is old enought to know better she is not going to wear anything provocative. I always say that it is easier to raise boys than girls, because when they are old enough, with the boy I only need to worry about one dick, the girl I have to worry about all the other dicks that are out there. If you saw my little girls bright blue eyes you would completly understand my point.
Ok on another note.
I was at church and we were talking about emergency preparedness and the importance of a 72 hour kit. Everyone was to give there oppinions or suggestions on what to do in case we needed to live for 72 hours with out the conveniences of home. There were things that were brought up like we need water, clothes , food, warmth, and a way to cook if needed. I brought up the suggestion that we need a generator that way we could plug in a few of the things that we might need if the power goes out. Like the refrigerator to keep the food from going bad, or to plug in the pellet stove to get warmth. Many of the people in the class decided to tell me that a generator is too expensive and impracticle. They felt they could not afford one and what good would it be for 72 hours. First of all who wants to live on granola bars and fruit snacks for that long. With a generator you can in the right way put electricity back into a few rooms of the house if needed just with an extention cord. This will give you the abillity to make pancakes if you wanted to or watch the tv to keep track of the news, or even run a wheat grinder to have fresh flour. The suggestion was also brought up that if our homes were not suitable to live in we could live in our camp trailers. What happens if the batteries go dead and you run out of power. Wouldn't a generator be a good thing to run the things that would drain battery power fast. Mabe I am just off my rocker but this really surprised me. Just because a generator is alittle bit of money we just throw out the idea because we do not want to budget ourselfs and save up for one. Well I am going to get one and when the power goes out and we have a horable snow storm that blocks off all three ways of getting out of this valley. My house will be lit up and my refrigerator will be working to save the food. While the rest of you are surviving on granola bars and fruit snacks. Oh and the 80 lbs of water that now one can pack around. We all need water but put it in bottles or something that can be easily transported via something that has wheels.
Now to those of you who have a generator good job, you have somthing that is very important to your survival in the case mother nature pays a visit.
Feel free to leave comments. I know I can't spell.

Holy Smoke! I don't know which one to respond to! Way to make an appearence on the blog scene, Derek! And maybe you will let us come and camp at your house if we don't have a generator in time? If I promise to pick up the toys so you don't stub your toe and I cut all the sleeves off of Jenny's shirts so she is decently immodest?! I thought so! :)
Wow Derek that was a long blog!! Anything else that you left out and would like to add!!
