Sponge Bob Square Pants

Hi all!

So right now the favorite show in our house is Sponge Bob. It is pretty funny and I am relieved that the kids will watch a show other than Barney or Elmo. The other day I was thinking wouldn't it be nice if we could live a life like Sponge Bob. He goes to work where he gets free food, plays all day with his friends, and never has to make a major decision in his life. His biggest decision on this episode was deciding whether 0r not to tell a mean joke about his friend. I admit that he does have some good lessons in the shows, but real life doesn't even compare to the ten minute cartoon. I know that this is kind of a stupid comment but hey what else does a mom think of all day! So my lesson from all of this: I guess that Heavenly Father gives us little things like cartoons to break up the monotony in our lives. So that goodness for Sponge Bob. Plus is keeps the kids busy!

Now here's an update on us...

We are all doing well and are sad that summer is ending so soon. We have turned on our heat and haven't turned it off since Monday. What can I say, we're wusses when it comes to the cold! That and the kids seem to always get a cold or something. The winter clothes are out in full force!

Derek flipped over his boat the other day and lost all of his fishing stuff. He had the bright idea to go fishing in the Salt River in a boat. But hey he couldn't resist playing with his new toy, so can you blame him! Anyway, he came home soaking wet and without all his fishing stuff. Last night he was on a mission to find his pole so he went back to the river. He can home very disapointed when he realized that, yeah, a reel really can float!

We had a good suprise when Grandma Lori and Grandpa Len showed up to visit this past Sunday. The kids were very excited. They walked them both all over the house and showed them all their stuff. I guess they are very proud of their toys! The kids were very sad to see them leave but it was a great suprise!

We had a fun Saturday with Erika and Adam and Adam's mom and dad at the Bar J. The food was great and the show was awesome. I think that it gets better everytime that you go! Derek was a first timer and he asked me as soon as we got in the car when we could go back!
